If your child is required to learn remotely the teacher might choose to offer access to live lessons through Zoom. The school has taken the necessary steps to increase security and safeguard both our students and teachers by subscribing to the educational package of Zoom. To safeguard students and teachers your child will have to log on to the Hamstead Hall Zoom page using their school username and password. This is the username and password they use to log on to laptops and PCs in school. Students who do not log on to Zoom as directed, will not be admitted to the lesson. If your child does not know their school username and password please complete the form in the Help section.
There may be some occasions where the teacher may choose to provide a live lesson to students learning remotely through Zoom. The teacher will send the necessary information for this via Google Classroom prior to the lesson. For this situation some students will be at school in the classroom while your child is watching the lesson through Zoom.
Zoom is a cloud based video conferencing service which allows people to meet with others either by video or audio or both, all while conducting live chats.
Teachers can use Zoom to conduct online classes.
